Review Policy

At Rural Outfitters, we want our reviews to provide an honest and useful picture of our customers' experiences. This Review Policy explains how we collect, verify, publish, moderate, and display customer reviews.

1. Honest and Genuine Reviews

Reviews must reflect the reviewer's genuine experience with the product being reviewed.

You must not:

• Submit a fake, fabricated, or deliberately misleading review

• Pretend to be another person or customer

• Submit multiple reviews for the purpose of manipulating a product's rating

• Coordinate with others to artificially increase or decrease ratings

• Submit reviews in exchange for a reward that is conditional on providing a particular rating or opinion

• Submit content that you know is false or misleading

• Submit a review while concealing a material connection to Rural Outfitters, including where you are an employee, owner, contractor, agent, family member, or other person with a relationship that could affect how the review is perceived
• Present a review as an independent customer review where a relevant commercial, employment, family, or other material relationship has not been clearly disclosed

We may investigate, reject, or remove reviews where we reasonably believe these requirements have been breached.

Where a reviewer has a material connection to Rural Outfitters, that connection must be clearly disclosed where required by applicable law.

2. How We Collect Reviews

We may invite customers to leave reviews after purchasing products from Rural Outfitters.

Reviews may include:

• A star rating

• Written feedback

• Photographs or videos

• Answers to product or review questions

• Other information voluntarily provided by the reviewer

We may also allow reviews to be submitted through other areas of our Services.

We do not selectively request reviews only from customers we believe are satisfied with their purchase.

3. Verified Purchases and Review Verification

We may use order, customer, product, email, and other purchase information held by Rural Outfitters to help determine whether a review relates to a genuine purchase.

Where we can match a review with our order or purchase records, we may display a “Verified Purchase” or similar label.

This indicates that we have information showing that the reviewer purchased the relevant product from Rural Outfitters.

Reviews may also be submitted without a Verified Purchase designation where review submission is otherwise permitted. The absence of a Verified Purchase label does not necessarily mean that a review is not genuine.

We may use automated and manual checks to identify potentially fake, duplicated, manipulated, or otherwise suspicious review activity. Reviews that are flagged may be investigated or moderated in accordance with this Review Policy.

4. Photo Review Rewards

From time to time, Rural Outfitters may offer customers a reward, discount, or other promotional benefit for including eligible photo content with their product review.

Any such benefit is offered specifically for submitting eligible photo content and is not conditional upon the review being positive, receiving a particular star rating, recommending the product, or expressing any particular opinion.

Customers remain free to provide positive, neutral, or negative feedback. The content and rating of a review do not affect eligibility for a photo reward, provided the applicable requirements of the offer are met.

Where a photograph has been submitted in connection with such a reward, we will display a clear disclosure indicating that the photograph was submitted in connection with a photo reward.

We do not offer rewards in exchange for positive reviews, particular star ratings, recommendations, or particular opinions.

5. Moderation and Removal

We may use automated and manual measures to identify reviews that may be fake, misleading, inappropriate, or otherwise in breach of this Review Policy.

We may reject, delay, investigate, restrict, or remove a review where we reasonably believe it:

• Is fake, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading

• Does not relate to a genuine experience with the product

• Is intended to manipulate ratings or review information

• Contains spam, advertising, or irrelevant material

• Contains unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, or obscene content

• Infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights

• Contains personal or sensitive information that should not be published

• Contains malicious links, code, or other harmful material

• Breaches our Terms of Service or applicable law

We may make minor formatting changes or redact personal information where reasonably necessary, but we will not alter the substance, sentiment, or star rating of a genuine review.

We do not reject, hide, delay, or remove a genuine review simply because it is negative or critical of Rural Outfitters or one of our products.

Positive and negative reviews are subject to the same moderation standards.

6. Ratings, Review Counts and Review Information

Product ratings, review counts, and other review information are intended to provide an accurate representation of the genuine reviews we publish.

We do not artificially increase product ratings, selectively exclude genuine negative reviews, or otherwise manipulate review information to make a product appear more highly rated.

Unless otherwise stated, aggregate product ratings are calculated using published reviews that meet our moderation standards. Reviews that are rejected or removed because they are fake, fraudulent, duplicated, misleading, manipulated, or otherwise in breach of this Review Policy may be excluded from ratings and review statistics.

Where reviews can be sorted or filtered, the sorting or filtering method selected will be indicated through the review interface where appropriate.

Positive and negative reviews are treated under the same moderation standards.

7. Review Photos, Videos and Other Content

Customers may choose to submit photographs, videos, and other content with their reviews.

You should only submit content that you own or have permission to submit, including where other identifiable people appear in the content.

Your rights and the licence you grant Rural Outfitters when submitting reviews and other user-generated content are explained in our Terms of Service.

How we collect and process personal information associated with reviews is explained in our Privacy Policy.

8. Reporting and Reviewing Content

If you believe that a review is fake, misleading, inappropriate, infringes your rights, contains undisclosed promotional or material connections, or otherwise breaches this Review Policy, please contact us.

We will assess reports and may investigate the relevant review, associated account or order information, and other reasonably relevant information where appropriate.

Depending on the circumstances, we may leave the review unchanged, request additional information, restrict it while it is investigated, remove prohibited content, or remove the review entirely where it breaches this Review Policy or applicable law.

We will not remove a genuine review solely because Rural Outfitters or another person disagrees with the reviewer's opinion.

9. Changes to This Review Policy

We may update this Review Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our review practices, our Services, or applicable legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date shown above.
